Episode 37: I Love You; Now Die (Michelle Carter - Needy or In Need?)
The gang is back in the Café this week chatting it up about another case.
In 2018, Conrad Roy III (18 years old) took his own life by poisoning himself with carbon monoxide. During the investigation of his death, it became apparent that his suicide might well have been persuaded by his then “girlfriend” Michelle Carter (17 years old at the time). Despite only having met a few times in person, the two exchange a plethora of (over 65,000) text messages. Many of these text messages focused on Conrad killing himself. Can your words be enough to have you charged and convicted of involuntary manslaughter? Was she needy or just in need of attention? Was she rightly accused of a crime in the first place?
Listen in as we discuss the intricacies involved with this case. Join in on the conversation! Grab your favorite beverage, come sit at our table, and DRINK, LISTEN, & CONVERSE!!!
